The categories are simply named 010, 020, 030, 040, 050, 060, 070, 080, and 090. The reason why the number of areas and required classes don't match up is because areas 060 and 070 require 6 hours each instead of 3. UTA does make it easy to get a minor in math and physics because you complete many of requirements in the degree plan, so you would take an extra 2 classes to get the minor.
